Avocado is one of the best oil for natural hair mainly because it contain a high amount (about 72%) of monounsaturated fatty acids, higher than amount found in coconut and grapeseed.
- Can be use to enhance a moisture. The oil penetrates into the cortex of the hair strand hence enhance your current moisturiser. Only few oil can penetrate into cortex including coconut oil. You can mix the oil with other product or homemade whipped butter.
- Can be used as carrier oil for your essential oil. Since the avocado oil penetrate the skin easily compare to olive or almond oil hence it moderately low on the comedogenic scale. This means does not clog your scalps.
- Moisturise your scalp. Avocado oil will not leave greasy film on the surface of the skin, It melts into the epidermis making it the best for moisturising a dry scalp.â€‹
