2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is the official video game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The game is published by EA Sports and is release on  on April 15, 2014 in North America, April 17 in Europe and Australia, and April 24 in Japan on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Gameplay Modes

The 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil gameplay has improved a little bit over FIFA 14 include dribbling, an increased accuracy in passing and first-touch mechanics. There are six modes and also players can compete in friendly matches both online and locally

Road to the FIFA World Cup

The game features Road to the FIFA World Cup, in this mode players have an option of 203 national teams to choose from and play through qualification and the actual FIFA World Cup.

Fans will also be present in over 15 locations, including "London’s Trafalgar Square, Moscow’s St. Basil Cathedral and the National Mall in Washington DC", to cheer on your progress. This mode will allow up to 32 players to play locally.

Road to Rio de Janeiro

Road to Rio de Janeiro, which is similar to the Online Seaon mode from FIFA 14, allow players to compete in an online tournament across the 12 venues of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The players can start at the Arena da Amazônia in the Brazilian city of Manaus and the matches get more challenging as their team progresses through all 12 of the World Cup venues in the bid to reach Rio's Estádio do Maracanã and a chance for the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

You can move forward, if you win matches and if you lose,  you will be relegated.

Captain Your Country

This is the most notable for offline players, the return of fan-favourite Captain Your Country, which featured in the Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010 games but was ditched for the Euro 2012 DLC. In this mode you can pick a player and work his way back from injury, or create a future captain and prove that he is worthy of his place on the team.

You will need to impress both manager and the fan to keep the role of Captain. â€‹

Story of Finals

Expect to see more objectives being included, with more to come in the Story Of The Finals mode that will be unlocked when the real tournament starts. EA promises this will be regularly updated with new scenarios too.

An hour after the final whistle of evry match within the World Cup finals, EA Sports will issue online challenges based on the results of those matches that cover a wide range of scenarios.

This mode is available both online and offline where players can play through the World Cup competition from the Group stage all the way through to the Finals.

Story of Qualifying

Story Of Qualifying is in offline mode, the token scenario mode. It is expected to be offering a number of missions in which you're dropped into real situations during the actual qualifying campaign and tasked with turning things around.

EA has chosen over 60 of the most memorable matches, such as Colombia’s three goal comeback against Chile, or the two goals scored against Spain by 10-man France in just 11 minutes for the latter team to earn qualification.

There are about 203 national teams that took part in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification process. However the national teams which did not participate in World Cup qualifying like Bhutan, Brunei, Guam, Mauritania and South Sudan, will not be featured in the game.

The game includes all 12 venues used at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, along with stadiums from each qualifying region and a range of "generic" stadiums.
